P.E.E.R. Training and Mentorship Program

NAMI Jacksonville's P.E.E.R. (Purposely Enriching Educated Recovery) training program helps guide individuals through the process of meeting the requirements to become a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist in Florida.

Our P.E.E.R. Training Program, which includes support, training and coaching, meets all the core competencies of the Florida Certification Board (FCB), which grants CRPS certification in Florida.

Certified Peer Recovery Specialists are people in recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges, who use their lived experience and skills learned in specialized training to help others facing similar struggles.

Requirements include lived experience, specialized training and supervised work experience. Learn more about CRPS Standards and Requirements in Florida.
